Awww, a baby, only 10 feet tall? Are their inside living areas accessible to zoo visitors or did you have a special connection? Does he have a nice outdoor area? I’m always concerned about zoo animals having a good quality of life.

They were just about to feed the giraffes, so I got lucky and was able to go inside. They have a really nice roaming area, actually, and they can come and go as they please.

How cute! Giraffes are my favorite animals.
July 20, 2009 at 7:28 PM
They’re very sweet animals. 🙂
He, a little Melman!
Bit of a sad picture. I recently took my kids to the zoo. Find it hard to take pictures there, because a. no natural habitat b. they sometimes really look sad c. it’s hard to take an original picture. Last you certainly did.

This zoo is as close to the animals’ natural habitats as possible. Very decent place.

He’s actually getting pretty tall. Already hangs out with the big guys.

Love the vertical lines. The numbers on the wall add a lot of interest.

Yes, the height ruler definitely makes the photo. Thanks. 🙂
