The title is almost as wonderful as this shot! I heart this! Almost but not quite scary…

It wasn’t too scary when I was looking at it. The yellow adds a frightening element, though.

If I stare at this one too long, I’m going to have new nightmares to deal with . . .

Redscaling film can make things look scary. And there’s plenty more where this came from. 🙂

Great color! I like the result of red scaling (like a lomo fx)…
I agree, it looks scary especially if you stare on those eyes for a bit longer. 😀
btw, I just downloaded(steal) the abstract banana leaf pix for my desktop… heheheh thanks! 🙂

lol. Glad you like it enough to want to look at it every day.
Was it big enough, or did the image stretch on your desktop?
June 23, 2009 at 1:48 AM
yay! The size is enough on the desktop of my computer(@home), but am not sure if it’s big enough on the desktop of my computer at work(much bigger monitor), maybe I’ll stretch it, or make it tile.
Thanks for the pix! 🙂

Awesome pic. I thought of you today when I heard about Kodachrome 😦 Very sad and hopefully not a harbinger of what’s to come.
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world’s a sunny day, Oh yeah
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama don’t take my Kodachrome away

You know, I was fretting this morning about the four rolls of Kodachrome I sent to Dwayne’s Photo last week (I should be getting them back this week; still, I always get worried when I send film through the mail, which is rare). Then I heard the news. Really put things into perspective. Sad, yes. Certainly inevitable, though. Let’s face it, Kodachrome is a PAIN to process. It’s black and white film with the color meticulously added later (one of the reasons it has such vibrant and accurate colors; really strange and wonderful stuff). That there’s only one Kodachrome lab left on earth is itself the last nail in the coffin. I’ve only got three rolls left in the fridge, and I’m a bit undecided as to whether or not I should get more . . .
Don’t worry, though. Film, especially black and white, will be around for quite some time. Kodak’s always coming out with new films. Too many photographers, especially professionals, still adore film.
