Actually, while it did take my breath away for a moment, I would say a more appropriate description is – visually arresting!

Really nice colors, did you do much post processing?

Beautiful pattern, texture and color. Adds up to another winner.

Montucky – You always have the nicest things to say. Thank you.
Kitten – You should see the original slide projected. Now that’s breathtaking.
Pat – I want to say orange – but it could have been red. Canna come in so many strange and wonderful forms and colors.
Lynn – Thank you. 🙂
Wong – Just some tweaking with the contrast (my scanner produces pretty flat results). This photo doesn’t do the original slide justice. This particular slide film really makes the colors pop.
Ed – Thanks, friend. 🙂

Again with the wonderful textures, very vibrant as well. Got to love this!

You’re too kind, phoenix. 🙂

You know, I think it’s orange because now that I have come back and looked again, I realized I grew these last year!!

I really like the graphic nature of the color and contrast in this picture.

Craig – Yeah, I just wish my scanner weren’t so terrible with slides. The slide for this photo looks so amazing on the light table, and it pops so much when projected. Kind of depressing that I can’t seem to get a good scan from it. 😦

You should see it projected.

The color on this is insane! This is one of those shots that say “Yeah… there are still things film can do that digital cannot”
April 19, 2009 at 1:42 AM
Now you know why I still shoot film. 🙂
